Dina is a native of Forest Hills Queens and raised in Queens, Forest Hills. She grew up there. However, she moved to Dix Hills Long Island before the end of her junior year. Her siblings include an older brother whose name is Gregory as well as a younger sibling known as Evan. Her career began as an entertainer when she was 9 years old, and began modeling. The beginning of her acting career was in The Neighborhood Playhouse, New York. She was a student of Sanford Meisner's techniques alongside Ron Stetson for three years. Sandra Bullock received similar training as did Michael Douglas and Jeff Goldblum. Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton are also amongst the actors that have undergone similar training. Her first role was in the soap-opera Beverly Hills, 90210, that required her to relocate away from Los Angeles. She was cast as the lead lady on Johnny Mnemonic in which she was able to perform almost every stunt by herself. She also established herself as a talented actress. Her talent agent was also representing Matt LeBlanc so, through her agent she was able score a recurring role on Friends.
